Premedical Preparatory Course in Poland, Lodz

Preparatory Course (PREMED) taught in English is organized by the Medical University in Lodz for the international students planning to apply for medical and dentistry programs in order to repeat and improve their knowledge required on the entrance exam. It also aims at making up the differences of candidates’ knowledge in the prerequisite subjects to help them in their first year of studies.

Medical University of Lodz organizes the courses since 2013. Almost 140 participants completed PREMED successfully. Many of them have already graduated MUL or are currently Students of DMD or 6MD program. During the Preparatory Course we offer:

The Medical University of Lodz is one of the largest medical universities in Poland. Its tradition goes back to the 1940s. We educate future doctors and specialists in medical sciences and medicine-related fields. Presently over 770 foreign students from various countries attend medical and dental programs taught entirely in English.The University, established in 2002, inherits achievements of two great medical schools existing previously in Lodz - Medical Academy of Lodz and Military Medical Academy. Therefore, it is rooted in the tradition of Polish and European medicine, as well as, aligned with global strategies and priorities in healthcare education.

Its mission is focused on:

educating students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing as well as in other medicine-related disciplines,
educating research staff (PhD programs),
conducting research and scientific activity,
developing postgraduate programs offer.

MUL educates future doctors and specialists in medical sciences and medicine-related fields. Medical teaching in English was initiated in 2003/2004. Presently over 900 foreign students from various countries attend 6-year MD (Medicine), Advanced MD and 5-year DMD (Dentistry) programs and over 600 have already graduated. The programs are taught entirely in English and are comprehensive enough to be accepted internationally.

Our Dentistry Teaching Centre and the newly open Medical Simulation Center implement the world educational standards and represent the highest level of innovation in the medical education.
