Medical Doctor: A Profession of Public Trust.

The profession of physician is highly prestigious and enjoys social trust, however there are fewer and fewer practitioners in the field. This shortage will soon be a serious problem. In July 2015, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University obtained the necessary entitlements to offer medical studies and commenced educating future doctors in October 2016. This is the very first non-public university in Poland to do so.Graduates obtain the professional title of medical doctor.

The Faculty of Medicine of our University has been included in the World Directory of Medical Schools. This is a list of verified Schools of Higher Education, Colleges and Faculties that educate in the field of medicine. The entry required approval by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, which we obtained on February 5, 2021. The entry on the list allows e.g. our students to pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®). This examination is necessary for foreigners wishing to practice as a medical practitioner in the USA.
