Course Zero (Faculty of New Media Arts) in Poland, Warsaw

Course Zero is a special program aimed at candidates who wish to study at the Faculty of New Media Arts at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in the future. This program is designed to prepare candidates for the entrance exam and familiarize them with the educational process undertaken in the first year of study. The course includes two semesters of classes (420 academic hours), during which future students will develop their digital and traditional portfolios under the guidance of an instructor. Our experienced instructors will also prepare future candidates for the admissions interview.

About the course

The Zero course is designed for students who want to prepare a portfolio and be ready for the very intensive 1st year studies at the Faculty of New Media Arts. The course in English combines traditional techniques such as drawing and painting with digital skills (Adobe CC). What's more, during the course in English, students practice personal presentation and are encouraged to talk to other students in the class. History of Communication covers the basics of visual communication and the history of language in Europe.

Four hundred and twenty hours from October to the end of June - very intensive classes and assignments, international workshops for the best students (along with 1st year students) in the course, and lectures with world-renowned designers and specialists (guests PJAIT). Regular classes are held in the evenings from 17:00 to 20:00 Monday through Thursday. Sometimes on the weekend we organize an open air painting session in Lazienki Park.
