Lazarski University

Łazarski Univesity is an internationally-oriented private institution with over 4500 students from all over the world. The university was founded in 1993, and from its inception it has placed a high value on creating an educational program that emphasizes quality and practicability first and foremost.

The university has both English and Polish-language programs and offers degrees in Law, Administration, Management, Accounting and Finance, Economics, and International Relations. Within each program, students may also choose from a variety of specializations, such as Criminal Law or Civil Law, European Administration, Travel and Tourism Management, E-Business and Innovation, Business Economics, and others. The degrees are administered through two faculties: the Faculty of Law and Administration, and the Faculty of Economics and Management. The university also has a Center for Postgraduate Education which offers specialized training courses for professionals in various areas, ranging from environmental protection, to film and television production, to human resource management.

About school

Łazarski University has also founded three research institutes, The Institute for Self-Government Research, The US Economy and Transatlantic Relations Institute, as well as The Institute of Civic Space and Public Policy, which are dedicated to producing high-quality and meaningful scholarship. Łazarski also has its own publishing house, which publishes books and manuscripts, as well as two quarterly jounrnals - Ius Novum, and Myśl Ekonomiczna i Polityczna (or Political and Economic Thought) - which are available throughout Poland.

In addition to developing an innovative curriculum and encouraging valuable research, Łazarski has also built a strong international profile. It has signed bilateral agreements with over seventy-five universities from around the world, and has partnered with the Coventry University in Great Britain to create double-degree programs in English. The quality and scope of these programs has attracted students from all over, and as of 2011 more than eighty percent of English-language students at Łazarski are foreign-born. The university´s International Help Desk, Department for Internship and Job Placement, Accommodations Department, as well as numerous student initiatives also make sure that these foreigners are taken care of and feel at home while studying in Poland.

The result of these efforts has been to build a university that is dynamic, modern, and open to the changes and transformations that are taking place today. It is a university that encourages diversity, focuses on helping students build strong careers, and encourages innovation and excellence.

Verify your language proficiency

  • If you have an international language certificate (TOEFL 80+, IELTS 6.0, FCE- A,B,C etc.) that proves your knowledge of English is at B2 level or higher, then there is no necessity for writing our in-house English language test. You can easily apply for your studies!
  • If you don´t have a language certificate you will need to solve our in-house English test when you arrive to Poland. If you are nor sure that your language level is good enough to study on academic level, please check yourself writing our on line English and apply for relevant Language Course.

Documents to be submitted for programs at the Bachelor's level:

  • Copy of your passport (pages with name, surname and expiration date);
  • Scan of original High School Diploma;
  • Scan of original High School Transcript;
  • Scan of High School Diploma translated into English;
  • Scan of High School Transcript translated into English;
  • Scan of High School Diploma with Apostillation or legalization from the Polish consulate or embassy in the country where the diploma was issued;
  • Scan of a statement from a Polish consulate or embassy, that your diploma enables you to proceed to higher level of education in the country where the diploma was issued;

Documents to be submitted for programs at the Master's level:

  • Copy of your passport (pages with name, surname and expiration date);
  • Scan of original High School Diploma;
  • Scan of original Bachelor Diploma;
  • Scan of original Bachelor Transcript;
  • Scan of Bachelor Diploma translated into English with Apostillation or legalization from the Polish consulate or embassy in the country where the diploma was issued;
  • Scan of Bachelor Transcript translated into English;
  • Scan of a statement from a Polish consulate or embassy, that your diploma enables you to proceed to higher level of education in the country where the diploma was issued.

Scholarship

Sports scholarships
Student grants are awarded to day and weekend students for outstanding sports achievements, supported by medals and honours.

Special scholarships
Special grants for disabled students are awarded to students due to their disability and are confirmed by appropriate body´s opinion. In order to initiate scholarship-awarding proceedings one is required to submit an application, together with attached opinion of an appropriate social administration body, which determines disability.

Science scholarship Scholarships are awarded automatically to students for outstanding academic results, excluding following groups of students, who are required to submit an application until 20 of October each year:

  • students with sufficient grades average* in preceding academic year, who have been transferred to Lazarski University (students are required to attach to the application, a report card regarding mentioned academic year, authenticated by previous university, together with grades requirements)
  • students with sufficient grades average* in the last year of first degree studies, who will take up second degree studies at Lazarski University, not exceeding one year from their graduation day
  • students with sufficient grades average* in preceding academic year, who did not obtain 60 ECTS points due to inappropriate subject curriculum they are offered
  • students with sufficient grades average* in most recent period before taking an academic leave

* average grades levels qualifying for scholarships for outstanding academic results, valid in particular academic year, are announced on the basis of Deans decision by the end of November

Scholarships are automatically awarded to Lazarski University students, who managed to obtain sufficient grades average. Scholarships for outstanding academic results are awarded at the end of the process of granting additional benefits. Average grades levels qualifying for student grants and their amounts are announced by means of University bulletin.
